Upcoming Events at Makemie Woods

In addition to our summer program, Makemie Woods hosts the following events:

• Presbytery retreats for Jr and Sr Hi youth
• A training event for leaders of youth
  
• A Get-away weekend for Single-Parent Families , usually late May or early June
• A Summer Camp Open House , usually in April
• A Family Camp, usually in late summer
• A Presbytery-wide Picnic, usually in the early fall
  
• Winter Camp or a camper reunion in December
  
• A staff reunion in December
• "First Friday" Senior Luncheons

Sunday, April 27, 2008:  Summer Camp Open House
2-4 p.m. Rain or Shine!

Take a tour, meet the staff, ask important questions, enjoy a campfire and EAT S'MORES!  This a great opportunity for first-timers to become familiar with the camp, and for old-timers to bring friends. 

May 2, 2008: "First Friday" Senior Luncheon

May 30 - June 1:  Annual Single Parent Family Weekend

A great opportunity for single parents to enjoy adult conversation and spiritual reflection while the kids enjoy camp.  Spend quality time with your children in a fun and peaceful environment, while the camp cooks and washes dishes!  Download a brochure.

June 6 - 8 -- DOVE training

Mandatory training for persons interested in serving as volunteers at Makemie Woods.

July 8: FAME Performance, 7 PM Laurel Hall

Join us for a fantastic performance of "The Bridge," with original script and score by the Makemie Woods staff.  What happens when a teenage marching band is stranded in the middle of nowhere?  Join us to find out!
