Woods introduces
Outdoor School
Makemie
Woods has traditionally operated as a summer camp and
year-round conference center. This spring Outdoor School became
the newest addition to the programs available at Makemie Woods.
Our Outdoor School aims to provide educational programs that raise
awareness and appreciation for our natural surrounding. In
addition, we recognize the needs of teachers and have designed our
curriculum with Virginia Standards of Learning in mind. The
courses we currently offer, emphasizes SOLs for Kindergarteners and
3rd-6th graders.
